Christina Brodrick is the Staff Services Division Director at Ivymount.  In her 10+ years in the special education field, Christina has worked in both school and in-home settings providing ABA therapy and educational programming for individuals with special needs. Christina began working at the Ivymount School Autism Program in June of 2008, where she played an instrumental role in developing and managing their employee training program. Additionally, her focus on staff morale and support led her to both chair the Personnel Committee and serve two year-long terms as the staff representative to Ivymount’s Board of Directors. In February of 2016 Christina assumed the role of Staff Services Division Director, which encompasses new employee orientation and training as well as Ivymount’s Human Resource functions. Christina graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Neurobiology and Physiology, an M.S. in Health Care Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration.  She is also a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst.

Nicole Carr is the Director of Development & Communications at Ivymount.  A development professional for more than 25 years, she came to Ivymount as a grants writer in 2005 and has also been Ivymount’s Associate Director of Development and the Director of Special Events.  Prior to working at Ivymount, Nicole ran several arts organizations in Philadelphia, PA and Westfield, NJ.  She has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA from the University of Virginia.

Amanda Custer is the Director of Staff Services for Ivymount.  Amanda is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has worked with individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities in home, school, and community settings since 1997.  After receiving her Master’s degree in Special Education and Human Services Management from Western Maryland College, Amanda joined Ivymount School as a Head Teacher in the Autism Program.  Professionally advancing within the Autism Program, she also served as Curriculum Coordinator, Primary Division Director, and Assistant Program Director.  Amanda also provided specialized services to students across all Ivymount School programs for three years as the Assistive Technology Specialist.  Continuing to seek educational and professional growth, Amanda is currently pursuing an advanced certificate in Organizational Behavior Management.

Dr. Eve Müller is responsible for coordinating in-house research projects and documenting curricular outcomes for Ivymount. She is also one of the authors of the Conversation Club curriculum, and the IvySCIP. She completed her doctoral work at the University of California at Berkeley, and her background is in autism research and special education policy.  Eve’s work has been published in a number of peer reviewed journals, including the Journal of Autism and Development Disorders; Autism: The International Journal of Research and Practice; Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disorders; The Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation; and Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools.  She has also presented at national and regional conferences. Prior to beginning work at Ivymount, she worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at the National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE) where she published more than 70 articles relating to special education policy, and helped coordinate policy forums and webinars on critical issues in the field.  Several of her Ivymount program evaluation reports are available here.

Lee-Nadine Oppenheim is the Director of Finance & Operations at Ivymount.  In her 20 years at Ivymount, Lee has overseen capital projects, including renovations to the school in excess of $9 million.  Lee is currently working with the design team on the renovations of the historic Thaddeus Stevens School, which will allow Ivymount to bring their expertise in special education to the District of Columbia.  In addition to capital projects, Lee oversees the accounting and finance functions for all Ivymount corporations, oversees technology needs, and supervises facilities and construction for the school and is the primary contract negotiator for all of the Ivymount corporations.  Lee also oversees emergency preparedness training for all of the Ivymount corporations and is the Incident Commander for emergency situations. Prior to her work at Ivymount, Lee was the Business Administrator at Hebrew Day Institute, Vice President at Beacon Seminars and Publishing Company and Foreclosure Research of America and worked for Freddie Mac.  She is a graduate of Boston University with a BA/BS in Marketing, Finance and Computer Science and is certified in School Emergency Preparedness.
